Our focus with sponsorship is focussing on return on investment (ROI) for our sponsors, keeping things local and removing any barriers from getting involved.
Why Sponsor Us?
Deep Community Roots: By partnering with Middlesbrough Cricket Club, sponsors align their brand with a positive, health-oriented, and family-friendly community hub. It shows a genuine commitment to the local area and grassroots sports.
Targeted Brand Visibility: Cricket clubs attract a diverse demographic, from young families and active players to lifelong supporters and visiting teams from across the region. This provides steady, highly targeted local exposure for their business.
Support for Youth Development: Sponsoring age-group teams directly funds the development of young local talent. Businesses love knowing their contribution keeps kids active, teaches teamwork, and provides a safe environment for the next generation.
Digital and Social Reach: Modern local sports clubs have highly engaged social media followings. Sponsors can benefit from digital shoutouts, logo placements on the club website, and tags in match reports, extending their reach far beyond the boundary rope.
Networking and Hospitality: Sponsoring a local club often opens doors to a new network of other local business owners, club members, and parents. It also provides opportunities for summer hospitality, bringing staff or clients down for a sunny afternoon of cricket or to our Party in Acklam Park music festival (where you get the VIP treatment!).
Flexible Packages for Every Budget
We do not want to exclude smaller businesses while leaving room for larger corporate partnerships and as such we offer varying levels of sponsorship to fit every budget.
Entry-Level (Advertising Boards): A highly cost-effective way for local shops or tradespeople to gain year-round visibility. A branded board around the perimeter of the pitch guarantees eyeballs every matchday and during weekly training sessions.
Mid-Level (Match or Player Sponsorship): Perfect for small-to-medium enterprises. Sponsoring a specific match, the match ball, or an individual player is a great way to get a localised shoutout on social media without a large financial commitment.
Premium (Age Group or Team Sponsorship): The ultimate level of commitment for businesses looking for maximum exposure. Having their logo front and centre on the playing shirts of a senior team or a youth age group means their brand travels across the region for away fixtures and features heavily in all team photography.

We are always looking for and welcome volunteers from our wider cricket family! Cricket relies on your support to thrive.
Why Get Involved? The Benefits
Be Part of Their Journey: You are already spending your summer evenings and weekends boundary-side cheering them on! Stepping over the boundary rope is a fantastic way to bond with your child and actively share in their sporting development.
Strengthen the Local Community: Grassroots sports run entirely on the goodwill of volunteers. By giving just a few hours a month, you are directly ensuring that Middlesbrough Cricket Club remains a thriving, safe, and fun environment for local kids.
Learn New Skills for Free: Volunteering isn't just about giving time; it's about personal development. We invest in our volunteers, meaning you walk away with recognised coaching and first-aid qualifications that are great for your CV and personal confidence.
The Social Side: It’s a brilliant way to meet other parents, make new friends, and become a core part of the MCC club family.
Zero Experience? Zero Problem!
One of the biggest hurdles is the belief that volunteers need to be ex-players or cricket experts - this is absolutely not the case!
You Don't Need to Be a Cricketer: Passion and enthusiasm are far more important than knowing how to bowl a googly. If you can encourage kids, organise a line, or use a smartphone, you are exactly who we need!
We Fund Your Training: We don't just throw you in at the deep end. The club will arrange and provide full ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) training courses to get you up to speed.
First Aid Covered: We will also provide comprehensive First Aid training, ensuring you are equipped and confident in keeping the kids safe.
A Built-In Support Network: You will never be left to run a session alone. You will be working alongside our established, experienced network of coaches who are there to mentor, support, and guide you every step of the way.
Flexible Roles to Suit Everyone
There is a role for every personality —whether you want to run drills or sit quietly with a coffee.
Coaching Assistants: Perfect for those who want to be active. You'll help our lead coaches set up drills, keep the kids focused, offer encouragement, and manage games. Experienced ex-players are incredibly welcome here, but total beginners are just as valuable for keeping the sessions organised and fun.
Digital Match Scorers (Play-Cricket App): If running around the outfield isn't for you, we desperately need scorers! We use the modern, user-friendly Play-Cricket scorer app on tablets/smartphones. If you can tap a screen and follow a game, you can score. It's an absolutely vital role that lets you watch the game closely while making a massive contribution to the team.
Sounds good? Even a little bit tempted?! Please get in touch with our Junior Cricket Lead, Jonathan Severs, and offer whatever support you can!
